“RH BILL: THE GRAND DEBATE” on GMA News TV

This May, one of the most divisive issues in society today is going to be dissected and talked about in a grand debate and the country’s first all-news and documentary channel on free TV is going to make it happen.

In line with its continuing advocacy to discuss and deliver the most pressing issues of the day, GMA News TV is mounting “Reproductive Health (RH) Bill: The Grand Debate”.

In a rare occasion, representatives from the government, religious groups and women sectors gather and engage in a healthy and informative discussion on the controversial House Bill Number 4244 or the Responsible Parenthood, Reproductive Health and Population Development Act of 2011”, otherwise known as the Reproductive Health (RH) Bill. Pitting lawmakers versus lawmakers, women versus women and church versus church, the debate will present and tackle the pros and cons of the RH Bill with representatives from opposing camps defending their side on every motion. The special aims to educate the people and satisfy their need for information.

Aside from the debate happening on the program, the public can also participate in an online debate on Twitter by sharing their opinions using the hash tags #proRH or #antiRH and by visiting www.gmanews.tv.

“RH Bill: The Grand Debate” is hosted by respected broadcast journalist Mel Tiangco and assisted by GMA News TV personalities, Pia Arcangel and RJ Ledesma, the two being former debaters in their college days.

The special airs Sunday, May 22 at 4 PM, with a replay at 9PM on GMA News TV.

    Pabor ako sa RH bill para magkaroon ng pagbabago ang kabuhayan natin para mapigilan ang paglubo ng ating population di bale sana kong mayaman bansa natin hayaan na lang na manganganak ng marami.

     Pro RH bill dahil isa sa mga salik kaya hindi umuunlad ang ating bansa ay dahil sa lumulubong populasyon na halos hindi makayanang paglingkuran ng pamahalaan isabay pa ang mga tiwaling ahensya ng gobyerno… bakit hindi po natin isabatas pansamatala ang RH Bill then after 1 year tingnan natin aang magiging resulta nito..Kung maganda GOOD..ipagpatuloy natin…pero kung talagang hindi m,aganda ang kalalabasan….ibaon na lang natin sa limot ang RH Bill..

Pro po ako dahil sa kintang-kita naman po ang problema ng bansang Pilipinas dahil po sa lumalalang paglaki ng populasyon ay marami sa ating mga kababayan ang di na po halos makakain, walang matirhan at higit po sa lahat ay salat po sa tamang edukasyon;di po ba mas magandang solusyon po na macontrol po natin ito kaysa lumala pa ng husto at halos hindi na po mapakain,mabigyan ng tirahan at mabigyan po ng sapat na edukasyon ng gobyerno ang mga Pilipino sa dahil po dami nito.

      di nmn sa lahat ng pagkakataon ok ang RH BILL kasi sooner or later pag ng liit ang population natin magiging kagaya tyo sa japan na aging society kasi di na sila ng aanak dahil sa batas tulad ng RH BIll… tsaka di solution ang RH bill dapat pag tuonan ng pansin ng gobyerno ang edukasyon para sa mahihirap at programa na tutulong sa kanila kaysa sa RH BIL ang pagtutuonan… tsaka mg kakaroon din ng bagong problema yan dahil madami ang mg hihiwalay na marriage life dahil ang iba ayw gumamit ng condom. tsaka parang iniinganyon natin ang mga bata na mg sex kc my condom nmn na ggmitin…

    wow salute to our great politician for their credibility at last.  and poor phillipines for having at last a messiah the “RH Bill” lets all pray to that.  after marcos, estrada and gloria at last eureka. the RH bill.     ahm it’s not being negative but i hardly oppose the RH Bill… being part of the youth we may have not any wild ideas ’bout parenthood BUT we are sure that we are part of this issue… it is said that there will be funds for reproductive health when this bill becomes a law… let me remind you that there are so many issues conveying in the Philippines

    I am watching RH Bill grand debate, nakakabuwisit si Rep.Magsaysay sabi niya hindi raw family  planning ang solusyon ng kahirapan kundi ang edukasyon, paano nga ma educate  kung sobrang dami na ng mga anak o populasyon?  what happen to you Rep.Magsaysay?as public servant ,nadismaya ako sa iyo ha.

     RH bill is just one of the programs being raised to address the poverty in the country. It is not the only solution that our government has to solve the poverty issue. Common knowledge that poverty is multi-factorial, therefore, the solution is not limited to population growth control. I am pro-RH bill and pro-quality life.

    needs RH bill when all we need is to constantly renew the SIGN of our
    COVENANT with God.That is,magpatuli every week ang bawat Filipino.The
